Whuz happenin?  How was that weekend, we spent it celebrating Michelle’s birthday!   She’s all “birthday’d out” at the moment but lets give her some more love anyway…HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

MRI Lightpainting + The Tank

Ok, so we’re psyched about this one.  This friday, MRI will be setting up a live lightpainting photo booth at The Tank, to celebrate their new location in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC. For those who don’t know, The Tank is a really sweet space for performance, music and visual arts, home to the infamous Blip Fest (all 8-bit Nintendo/Gameboy music) and Bent Fest (crazy circuit bending electronicomadness).  We will be there from 8-11 pm this Friday the 26th.  UPDATE:  This is open to the public!!  So come through The Tank this Friday, May 29th at 8 pm for live performances, comedy, food, drinks, and MRI!!  The Tank is located at 354 W 45h Street (between 8th and 9th Ave) in NYC.

Check out this video Ryan shot at Blip Fest a few years ago…at the old Tank space.  Pretty great.

Flashing Lights Photos are UP!

Hey dudes,

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Flashing Lights on Friday.  We had the most fun we’ve ever had and we owe it all to the great people who got in front of the camera to wild out.  Second of all, after a ton of demand, your photos are UP at the MRI Lightpainting Flickr.  Michelle worked like crazy getting em up for everyone so a big thanks to her as well.   And while we’re thanking folks, thanks to Goodpeoples, MeanRed, and the Flashing Lights kids for having us out again.  Stay tuned for the next one.

MRI at Flashing Lights TONIGHT

Whooooaaaaaaa

So we’ve definitely been a bit “radio silent” lately, but we haven’t been resting on our laurels, eating chips and watching Two and Half Men reruns or anything.  Nope, its all business.  So let’s get back into it.  Tonight, for those in the NYC area, we will be doing another LIVE lightpainting photo booth at Flashing Lights.  This time, its a loft party so it will be a little but more grimy and wild with DJs and a SURPRISE live band.  Flyer and info is below and if you haven’t seen our photo booth shots, check em out on the MRI Flickr.
